Chemical industry

Pressure and temperature measuring devices are used in the chemical industry both in protected operating areas as well as in potentially explosive atmospheres and must be reliable in aggressive andnon-aggressive environments. Strict international directives such as the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC – PED - and the ATEX (ATmosphère EXplosible) Directive of the European Union define the state of the art for the application conditions and product requirements.

That is why JAKO mainly uses CrNi steels for devices in chemical process engineering.  The materials 1.4571, 1.4404 as well as 1.4435 are widely used on an international level. Mainly chemical seals or diaphragm spring devices are used for particularly aggressive media. But also devices with special materials such as e.g. monel 400, Hastelloy or with PTFE coating are part of JAKO’s comprehensive range of products. Also dial pressure gauges complying with the more exacting requirements to the protection of people according to EN 837-1 are produced and supplied with laminated safety glass, relief opening and solid front.

As accredited and internationally recognised verification and calibration centre, JAKO also ensures a long-term stable value of the measuring devices, enhanced legal security where legal verification regulations apply as well as reliable measurement results and a long period of use in the exacting environment of the chemical industry.
